OBSESSION? NOPE, PART OF LIFE!!

~~~KISS!~~~
WHEEE!! ONE OF MY FAVOURITE SONGS ;) THANK GOD FOR YOUTUBE!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_a-NYivv6o :100, 000 YEARS
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=fvwp&NR=1&v=4PM4mL4-RF4 : SHE'S SO EUROPEAN
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTj4Tk79Uzk : SHOCK ME
I've been a fan since my Ex-boyfriend started getting me involved. I still remember getting turned on by Paul's starry-eye HAHA!! I SUCK! Don't have an estimate year, but I wasn't a TRUE fan until I left highschool and researched KISS further on my own.
My first taste of their music was probably the classic "Shout It Outloud" from the Destroyer album. But "War Machine" from Creatures of The Night Album, oddly enough got me hooked on them and became a part of my life, and my bank account.
I've started collecting all of their albums (even the horrible ones), posters gallore, T-shirts, board game, bags, comics, dvd's- and got SpaceAce lookalike elevator boots (eee!! I love 'em). Even after certain members of the band left, I still bought their solo's (some I regret)
KISS came into the world in 1973 by Gene & Paul who before back then were in a band called Wicked Lester, but they wanted to expand their skills as musicians and so KISS was born. After countless auditions they found Peter (reason for wearing 3 on his outfit) and Ace (which is a lesson learnt for all those who judge people by their looks!) Hahaha! Ace came in unannounced wearing an orange shoe and red shoe with his guitar over his shoulders, lookin' rather "spaced" and thus his persona was born.
"SORRY CURLY!" =D
: PAUL::: (aka-Star Child) The lead singer, guitarist and songwriter for most of the albums. His style of music is what makes KISS still alive today, pure rock and roll this guy is! Even though Paul did compose a little bad ones (I CAN TOLERATE GLAM ROCK DAMMIT!), his eye was always on ROCK all the way even today he still rocks on with his solo career (Live to win)! Aside from his singing career, there is one thing I find annoying about him HE TALKS IN BLOODY ANALOGIES! They're not wrong, or something I can't handle (hmph! =P). Let's just say I can tollerate Gene's comments better on a good day.
Favourite Album: (dammit) KISS 1st album, DRESSED TO KILL, DYNASTY & ROCK N' ROLL OVER
GENE::: (aka- Demon) The Bass guitarist, singer and songwriter. His lyrics and method of music I find are HEAVY!! And much louder then Paul's standard 'known KISS songs'. But we need variety don't we? Gene does show his musical side in such albums as: REVENGE, ROCK & ROLL OVER, and CREATURES OF THE NIGHT. And as for his wild personality, he is actually a pretty straightforward and respectable guy. In my opinion, Gene'd be the only band member I'd trust...morally (I like how he tells it like it is, no screwing around.). He never drinks or smokes, his only sin is girls, and lots of them!!
Favourite Album:ROCK & ROLL OVER AND REVENGE!
PETER::: (aka- Catman) The Drummer, and raspy singer of the group. I love this old guy!! (Heehee I said old) Out of all the KISS drummers, I'd have to say he's the 2nd best (Eric Carr my 1st). Don't get me wrong, Peter is original and the best when he sings. Hell, I love most of Peter's songs... there just weren't enough of them (Gloom!). From Black Diamond to Hooligan to Hard Luck Woman, Dirty Livin' and of course Beth: Peter's voice and skills got only better. Sadly, during the late 70's Peter left the band cause his performance wasn't any good and keeping the band down... pity.
Favourite Album: KISS' 1st album AND LOVE GUN
ACE::: (aka- Space Ace) ACE::: AAAAAH!! ACEEE!!!! BABAAAAHHH!!! I LOVE YOUUU! ...ahem! Ace is of course the lead guitarist of the original KISS band, and oh does he kick ass on a solo! I love everything about him (aside from his age) from his wicked high-spirited laugh (sounds like Joker from Batman), his oh so tall (eee!) The zoned out persona is only one of his best known looks. Also known for his famous lines: ACK and HI CURLY!!!! I won't die until I get a hug from him.  I got to shake his hand, but that's still not good enough to pull the plug =D
Ace as I first remembered him was off his Solo KISS Album, playing with his Gibson Les Paul guitar, the smoke effects coming out of it. I already knew the know-how of his past doses of drugs and alcohol, but he still made beautiful rock music!! Even when he went for a solo career in "Frehley's Comet" he sounded top notch ;) Ace did leave the band during early 80's, but reuinted with them ALL in 1996 for a short time after Psyco Circus (ewww!!) But you know all's fair in love and music. He plays excellent with and without the band. This chicky idolises him no matter what!!
Favourite Album: KISS solo album & ALIVE 2!
ONE OF THE BEST! Not only does Paul turn the mic over to Ace to sing "Shock me" performed live! He let one ripper of a solo. My guess he would've used the smoke guitar in this one, but they cut it out. Also another beaut is ROCKET RIDE!!! Done to perfection by Ace.
Only reason for buying this god forbid track was the heck of listening to Let's Put The X In Sex. It was bad enough listening to Eric Carr do a re-make of Peter's "beth", but the whole album is echoed throughout and doesn't sound good. They listed some of the classics, but they sound awful on this album!!
Hide Your Heart
Forever
YURK!!! Thankfully I bought the Millennium Collection to hear these 2 goodies instead of buying this horrible CD!
Unholy
Take It Off
Domino
Heart Of Chrome
Thou Shalt Not
I Just Wanna
